Explore the Norfolk Broads at your own pace in one of our self drive day boats. No experience is necessary, we will give full instruction before you take the boat and of course everyone on board will be given a life jacket.

From our base at Wayford, just off the main A149 we offer a choice of four different boats, with the largest ‘Jumbo’ seating up to 12 people. Our marina is on the River Ant, which is a great place to start your Norfolk Broads adventure. There are plenty of places to stop for a picnic, bar-b-que or a pub lunch.
We will supply you with a map and of course our helpful staff will be happy to give you some ‘local insider’ information on the best places to see before you leave.

Thunderbird Electric Picnic Boat, seating for up to 8 people.
The electric day boat is a popular choice, ‘Eco Friendly’ it is super quiet and easy to operate. Get up close to wildlife (they won’t hear you coming!) Booking essential!
Built to the same design as our popular ‘Thunderbird’ picnic boat, it is fully equipped with a small galley – 2 ring burner, crockery and running water – Ideal to make tea and coffee aboard. This new boat also has a W.C. and a large sunshine roof.

‘Thunderbird’ is one of our newly designed picnic boats, diesel powered, it is fully equipped with a small galley – 2 ring burner, crockery and running water – Ideal to make tea and coffee aboard. Our picnic boats also have a W.C. and a large sunshine roof.
Simple to drive with good visibility and manoeuvrability, the ideal choice for a day out on the water.

Our day boats are fitted with a fold down canopy so that you can enjoy the sunshine as you travel along the rivers and enjoy the charm of the Norfolk Broads. The canopy is easy to raise should the weather turn chilly or showery.

‘Jumbo’ is the largest of our picnic boats, it has a galley – 2 ring burner, crockery and running water – Ideal to make tea and coffee aboard. Our picnic boats also have a w.c. and a large sunshine roof and ‘Jumbo’ has space to sit outside in the forward & aft wells too.
Easy to drive with plenty of space, this is the ideal choice for groups of friends or large families to enjoy a day on the without the expense of having to hire 2 boats.

Picnic Boat – Ensign 21 Seating for up to 9 people
Our ‘Ensign 21’ picnic boats have a small galley on-board with a 2 ring gas hob, grill & small oven, a sink, and crockery ideal for making a cup of tea or rustling up a light lunch to enjoy as you cruise along. An easy to slide canopy ensures that you have a great day out whatever the weather. Our picnic boats also have a W.C.
